At Canton Country Day we are committed to helping children meet individual challenges, explore individual interests and develop individual talents. This is our goal, not only in the classroom, but also on the athletic field, on stage, in after-school clubs, on camping trips, and working together on service learning projects. Our student-centered education is based on innovative teaching and genuine concern for the well being of each child.

When you see Canton Country Day students in action—in classes, in performances, interacting with adults at a nursing home, speaking in public, or sharing with other students in the school during buddy time — you see happy children who are confident in their own abilities. You also see children who respect themselves and care about the other members in the community.

What makes Canton Country Day School so special is the relationship between the teacher and the individual student. At Canton Country Day the teachers are closely connected to their students and know them very well. Our teachers stay current in educational research and use a variety of instructional and assessment strategies to help each child learn. At the heart of the Canton Country Day School educational process are teachers who care.

Of course, we couldn’t help children reach their potential without the support of parents. We believe that the teacher-parent relationship is just as important as the teacher-student relationship. As Canton Country Day parents, you will bring to the conversation a perspective and knowledge of your child that is critical to the educational process.

At Canton Country Day School we value 21st Century learning and believe that “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire” (W. B. Yeats). At Canton Country Day School we have a passion for getting kids turned on to learning.

CCDS has celebrated over fifty years and counting.  We are proud of our past accomplishments and look forward to continuing our role as an educational leader in the community.
