Athletics At CCDS
The Athletic Advantage
Building Skills, Teamwork, and Confidence Through Athletics In An Environment Where Everyone Gets Their Chance To Shine
Inclusive programs encourage students of all ages to stay active, work together, and discover their athletic potential.
At Canton Country Day School, athletics is an inclusive, year-round program designed to develop skill, sportsmanship, and joy in physical activity for every student. Beginning in early grades, children build foundational movement skills through Physical Education classes and intramural programs like volleyball, basketball, soccer, and “Cougars at Play” As students advance into middle school (grades 6–8), they have the opportunity to join co-ed soccer in the fall, boys’ and girls’ basketball in the winter, and co-ed track and field in the spring—each culminating in competitive tournaments or meets against fellow independent schools. Across all levels, CCDS encourages all interested students to participate, fostering competence, teamwork, and the confidence to recognize and optimize their full potential
“Whether in the gym, on the field, or at a meet, every child learns the value of dedication, teamwork, and Cougar spirit.”
